To support the simulation team in assisting customers with the design and analysis of optical components and systems using Ansys Speos and Zemax.
Role Overview:
As an Application Engineer Trainee, you will assist in the simulation, modeling, and analysis of components and systems across industries. You will contribute to service projects involving optical component and system design, meshing, and visualization. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to grow expertise in simulation and product design workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Encouraged to learn new physics and simulation workflows and help with implementation.
Apply basic meshing concepts in geometry preparation and simulation setups.
Help prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations (MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint).
Collaborate with senior engineers to explore workflows in optical component design, lighting analysis, and virtual prototyping.
Learn and apply fundamentals of ray tracing, illumination design, and optical system analysis.
Qualifications:
M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiarity with CAD tools is a must.
Any exposure to simulation tools and programming languages is a plus.
Basic understanding of ray tracing, meshing, and simulation is appreciated.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Immediate joiner preferred.
