Introduction: The Analyst 4 Senior Feature Team Engineer will work as part of the team which undertakes development, test environment support and implementation work principally in regards Global PayPlus (Finastra product). GPP Technology and development along with payments flow knowledge and design skill is must for this position. The team will be led by the AVP Lead. The Analyst 4 Senior Feature Team Engineer is accountable to the AVP Lead for the development of assigned software components within a project, executing integration with landscape components using latest technology platforms like cloud , microservices, kafka. The Analyst 4 Senior Feature Team Engineer will maintain their expertise in the GPP technology stack and in the associated development tools and techniques, and will also maintain expert knowledge of the applications for which they have ongoing development responsibility. The GPP technology stack includes UNIX, MQ, PL/SQL, Oracle, UNIX scripting and basic MQ. He/She should be versed with BDD technology and relevant tools - if not hands-on, along with good working understanding on payments processing. The Analyst 4 Senior Feature Team Engineer will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the development and implementation process by identifying and implementing (with the agreement of the AVP Lead) efficiency and quality improvements in areas such as BDD automation, process enhancements, stability, reduction of redundancies. What will you be doing Initial Design & Project Planning - 10% Use expert GPP knowledge to contribute to the solution definition / high level design specification for new projects. Assist in the production of estimates for the development of software, refining the estimates to required tolerance as the requirements and design are clarified and expanded. Provide input into project planning regarding resources, duration, costs and other delivery considerations of which the project management need to be aware. Keep the AVP Lead Software Developer / project management informed of progress during the course of the software development Identify RAIDs, escalating to AVP Lead Software Developer / project management as and when necessary. Software Development, Interface Integration, Test Improvements - 80% Develop software following agreed standards (such as coding standards, UI style guide, help provisioning, error logging etc) using agreed development and code management tools. Adhere to code control / code management procedures and standards at all times. Undertake software unit testing and software component testing, documenting tests and results to the required standards. Create unit test specifications for software components to be developed. Apply the Business Setup Document in Test environments and verify the same in unattended mode. Contribute towards continuous improvement into the Test Automation activity and overall technical transformation initiatives. Support and Maintain Oracle Packages/Stored Procedure codes. Working on Defects to resolve setup/environment issues. Assist in the triage and resolution of software defects during the testing phases. Provide training and support materials to the application management team to enable then to support the application effectively in BAU. Provide support to the application management team as required during the post live implementation period, and at any future point where detailed application expertise is required to address production incidents. Defining and Implementing Software Development Standards - 5% Assist the Lead Software Developer in defining and continuously improving software development standards and processes to drive up quality, efficiency and re-usability of development. Assist the Lead Software Developer in identifying, implementing and continuously improving software development and management tools to achieve maximum development lifecycle productivity. Personal & Team Development - 5% Undertake training and related personal development activities to ensure maintenance of expertise in GPP technology stack associated tools to achieve maximum effectiveness in role. What we\'re looking for: . Basic educational qualification: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer science or other related fields . GPP Technology and development skill is must . Aware about the technical details of the Global Pay plus product i.e. technical configurations, Database relationship among objects, SQL side of payment processing . Good knowledge of C++ technology , optimisation techniques . Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX scripting . Familiar with AGILE working methodology . Selenium awareness and BDD framework . Basic knowledge of JAVA . Aware about Dev-Ops . Working knowledge on Cloud services, Chef, AWS Ops . Working on microservices development and integration with components .
