Description:
CTG is seeking an Application Developer with strong Mainframe Modernization expertise to support a client modernization initiative. This role focuses on modernizing and migrating legacy mainframe applications to cloud and hybrid environments.
Location: Remote
Duration: 5 months
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support mainframe modernization and cloud migration solutions
Modernize COBOL-based applications and integrate with cloud platforms, including z-cloud
Build APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations
Support data integration, ETL processes, and MQ messaging
Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and security teams
Required Skills:
Mainframe development (COBOL, Db2, CICS)
Cloud modernization and migration experience
Java, APIs, JSON, Microservices
ETL, data integration, and MQ
DevOps, Kubernetes, and modern application architectures
Experience:
5+ years application development experience
Hands-on experience with mainframe modernization and hybrid/cloud solutions
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
