Backend Engineer (Java / Microservices) Experience: 5-8 years Responsibilities o Design and implement scalable microservices for telemetry ingestion, processing, and querying o Develop APIs (REST/GraphQL) for frontend and mobile clients o Integrate with time-series databases, message queues, and distributed storage systems o Optimize backend performance for high-throughput, low-latency workloads o Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices (AND/OR) o Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern frameworks and languages (Node.js, Java, or Python). o Build and document RESTful and GraphQL APIs for frontend and third-party integrations. o Implement business logic for campaign management, budgeting, logistics, and feedback processing. o Integrate with external systems like SAP (for finance) and open-source tools (e.g., Camunda, OpenBoxes). o Ensure code quality through unit testing and BDD practices using tools like JUnit, PyTest, or Cucumber. o Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver end-to-end features. o Optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend services. Skills & Experience o Java (Spring Boot, Micrometer, OpenTelemetry) o Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse o RESTful API design, GraphQL (optional) o Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Jenkins o Experience with observability tools is a plus (AND/OR) o 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), or Python (FastAPI/Django). o Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems. o Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. o Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ. o Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. o Proficiency in unit testing and BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Behave, SpecFlow). o Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and secure coding practices. o Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus. o Experience in integrating with SAP or other ERP systems. o Exposure to workflow engines (e.g., Camunda, n8n). o Familiarity with LLM-based APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) for intelligent automation. ________________________________________ Summary: As an Application Developer, you will engage in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to fulfill specific business processes and application requirements. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Spring Boot. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Spring Framework. - Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with database management systems and SQL. - Experience in using version control systems such as Git. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Spring Boot. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
