CTG is seeking to fill an Application Database Administrator - RDBMS position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Install, configure, and maintain relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, and Teradata.
Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and optimize queries to ensure high availability and reliability.
Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations as needed.
Collaborate with development and application teams to support database-related requirements.
Ensure security and compliance standards are adhered to within database environments.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution.
Document database configurations, procedures, and changes.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, and Teradata.
Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
Understanding of database security, monitoring, and auditing practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Application Database Administrator or similar role managing enterprise-level RDBMS systems.
Experience in database installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
Experience implementing disaster recovery solutions and high-availability database environments.
Experience supporting development teams with database-related tasks.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant database certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
