Application Architect - SAP Basis

Job Title: Application Architect - SAP Basis



:



The Application Architect - SAP Basis will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable SAP solutions to drive business efficiencies. The role requires a deep understanding of the SAP Basis landscape, including system architecture, performance optimization, and system upgrades. The architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure smooth implementation and integration of SAP systems within the enterprise environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Design and manage SAP Basis architecture to support various SAP applications and modules. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements. Perform system configuration, installation, and upgrades for SAP systems. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system uptime and reliability. Ensure compliance with best practices and governance standards for SAP implementations. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development and support teams. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential technical challenges and propose mitigations. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions for team members on SAP Basis best practices. Manage and support SAP landscapes, including transport management, client administration, and data migration processes. Document architectural designs, process flows, and operational procedures.



Skills and Tools Required:



Expertise in SAP Basis administration, including system setup, configuration, and support. Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, landscapes, and components such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and SAP Fiori. Familiarity with database management systems such as SAP HANA and Oracle. Proficiency in monitoring tools and performance tuning for SAP systems. Experience with various SAP tools and utilities, including SAP Solution Manager, Transports, and Change Management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of cloud-based SAP deployments and technologies is a plus. Certification in SAP Basis or related fields is advantageous.
