Description:
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - Open Source position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 11 months
Duties:
Provide day-to-day support and administration of system application servers and agents.
Troubleshoot and resolve application/agent-related issues to maintain system stability.
Analyze and refine application-provided data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Partner with application teams to define and implement custom data collection strategies.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to improve data quality and system understanding.
Create and maintain documentation for production tasks, troubleshooting procedures, and system configurations.
Design, develop, and implement software solutions using open-source platforms, tools, and languages.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet organizational goals and requirements.
Evaluate and recommend open-source technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance system performance and maintainability.
Ensure best practices in software architecture, security, scalability, and integration with existing systems.
Skills:
Strong expertise in open-source technologies and development platforms.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar open-source languages.
Experience with databases, application servers, and integration frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architectures.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Application Architect or similar role with open-source technologies.
Experience leading architecture design, system integration, and application implementation projects.
Hands-on experience with modern application development, microservices, and API-driven architecture.
Experience with troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning of applications and servers.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications in open-source technologies or software architecture are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
