SUMMARY

The Application Architect is responsible for the effort to plan & maintain a consistent and flexible backup strategy at RealPage for Hybrid Infra Environment. RealPage is looking for a person with an excellent understanding of Enterprise Backup, Storage and Virtualization. The focus of this position is to design & implement backup strategy for Hybrid infra which includes both private & Public Cloud along with strong knowledge on Cloud DR, CyberSense & Cyber Recovery. Implement solutions for better monitoring of the backups in compliance of all RealPage initiatives, while aiming to refine and tighten any inconsistencies that could cause potential issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Govern the Enterprise Storage & Backup, Virtualization solution to the maximum possible success rate and the fastest possible restore time and secured Virtualization Environment.
• Contribute to Cloud, DR & BCP Strategy of the IT Hybrid Infrastructure.
• Implement solutions, manage change requests, and perform BAU activities related to Platform Team [Storage, Backup, Virtualization].
• Implementation, management, and maintenance of Storage & Backup Appliances.
• Work in an ITIL based support processes including incident, change, availability and capacity management for the Hybrid Infra Environments.
• Contributes to Infrastructure plans to support BCP strategy.
• Contributes to processes & procedures for cut over to DR site.
• Provide support to the pre-sales engineering and service delivery teams.
• To prepare and participate in regular performance reviews to monitor and improve Hybrid Infra performance.
• To prepare a personal development plan as part of the performance appraisal process to improve current job performance, job satisfaction and prepare for your future.
• Conduct work in a safe manner. Report any incidents/accidents
• Participate in Investigate Critical Bridge Calls, Participate in 24x7 on-call support.
• Assessment and design of Backup infrastructure to support the applications, data, and business processes resiliency objectives.
• Responsible for performance, availability, and scalability of the Backup Infrastructure.
• Migration of onprem backup enviroment to cloud enviroment.
• Experience in Capacity planning and perform analysis of current landscape of Storage. Defining target/Future state of storage landscape
• Critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure.
• Perform functions pertaining to the business risk assessments.
• Review and develop business recovery strategies, draft procedures for identifying failures and invoking contingency plans
• Create response procedures and identifying communications channels.
• Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
• Define security and backup procedure.
• Automate repetative tasks.

• Overall 12 Years of experience with minimum 8 years of experience in managing IT Enterprise Environment [Storage, Backup & Virtualization].
• Backup administration and Consulting Experience in Networker, Data domain, Cyber recovery, cybersense backup related products.
• Must have comprehensive and expert knowledge of backup architecture and its hardware / software products.
• Expertise on Backup setup/operations on cloud platform.
• Expertise on migrating onprem backup set to cloud platforms.
• Responsibility to desgin DR and maintaining RTO & RPO.
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
• Communicate with various response teams during testing and actual requirements.
• Provide support in the development of backup management and business recovery plans.
• Work with the incident and problem management on root causes and proactive avoidance of future incidents on backup and recovery systems.
• Ability to work on transitions of Backup & Recovery services and projects
• Good Knowledge of storage/VMware/network technologies.
• Expertize on Cloud plaform& Automation.Flexible to work overtime as required; some overnight work may be required.
• Able to sit or stand for frequent periods in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
• Able to stoop or lift material or equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Monitor day to day backup operations and bring in standards based on site challenges.
• Experience should include designing, implementing, and managing high performance block (SAN) and file (NAS) storage.
• Hands on experience with Multi Cloud / Hybrid Environment
• Good experience, knowledge & Understanding of VMWARE VSphere & Dell Enterprise storage - EMC Powermax, Unisphere, powerstore.
• Working knowledge of enterprise level Brocade DCX required.
• Storage and Fabric upgrades.
• Knowledge of NAS storage systems (Isilon).
• Good hands-on experience & understanding of backup and restoration procedures.
• Having VCP, A+ certification and Network+ certification or the demonstration of knowledge and skills are added advantage.
• Strong Knowledge in using Infra Automation Tools like Terraform, PowerShell and /or Python.
• Experience in installing and maintaining hardware.
• Experience in configuring servers.
• Proficient in business software, including MS Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Visio applications.
• Experience in troubleshooting network (LAN) software related to operations, administration, user accounts, and systems security.
• Must possess Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer services skills and the ability to communicate with individuals of all levels internal and external to the organization.
