CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - EAI position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise application integration (EAI) solutions using Kafka and related technologies.
Lead architecture efforts for Confluent Platform deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
Ensure Kafka clusters are secure, scalable, and highly available, leveraging SASL_SSL, RBAC, ClusterLink, and Replicators.
Configure and manage Active-Passive clusters using CFK to ensure business continuity.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize integration solutions.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and best practices to other team members in Kafka architecture and deployment.
Troubleshoot complex integration and messaging issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
Skills:
Strong experience with Kafka administration and architecture.
Expertise with CFK (Confluent for Kubernetes) for deploying Confluent Platform on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Kafka security protocols including SASL_SSL and RBAC (role bindings, ACLs, etc.).
Experience with ClusterLink, Replicators, and configuring Active-Passive Kafka clusters.
Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and EAI frameworks.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Kafka Administrator.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience using CFK to build Confluent Platform on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Proven track record of designing and deploying secure, scalable Kafka clusters.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
