As an Application Architect you will be instrumental in working with product owners and engineering teams to convert the business vision into tangible products delivering real value to the organisation. You are passionate about architecture and building solutions yourself with a keen eye on emerging technologies. A minimum of 10 years in technology initially as a software engineer before moving towards architecture (5+years). A demonstrable track record as an Application, or Solution Architect developing scalable and secure bespoke products in agile delivery environments taking into account relevant quality attributes, such as security, scalability, performance, availability etc Experience with event streaming, APIs, Microservices, database technologies, and Azure capabilities (including specific experience with Java, Kafka, Kubernetes). Proven ability to engage with business product owners to understand the business needs, processes, and priorities have led requirement gathering and analysis, and designed solutions leveraging appropriate tools and platforms Demonstrates excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation reaching out when needed to resolve issues. Excellent problem solving, analytical & ability to thrive in demanding situations. Prior experience with emerging technologies including ML, AI, IoT and Blockchain is an advantage. Prior experience of working within procurement, finance or within the shipping and logistics industry is beneficial.
