Description:
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - Application Modernization opening for our premier client.
Duration: 6 months
Required Skills:

• 7+ years Hands-on experience in mainframe development
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming (COBOL II/COBOL 85/Enterprise COBOL)
• Extensive experience with CICS (Customer Information Control System) online transaction processing
• Solid understanding of DB2 database concepts, SQL, and database design
• Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing
• Experience with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) file handling
• Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF for development and debugging
• Experience with ChangeMan or similar version control/change management tools
• Nice to have skills:
• Knowledge of mainframe modernization strategies and tools
• Experience with z/OS Connect for API enablement and integration
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration into mainframe environments
• Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures involving mainframe systems
• Experience with DevOps practices for mainframe (CI/CD pipelines)

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50 to $90 hourly. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
