Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AppDynamics Administrator (Lead) who will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, administration, and optimization of AppDynamics across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application performance monitoring (APM), dashboard creation, and end-to-end observability, with the ability to guide a small team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of AppDynamics for multiple applications and environments (Production, UAT, Dev).

• Manage AppDynamics Controllers, Agents (Java, .NET, Machine, Database) and maintain health across distributed systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom dashboards, health rules, and alerts for performance monitoring and reporting.

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

• Perform upgrades, patching, and license management of AppDynamics environments.

• Define and maintain AppDynamics monitoring standards, policies, and best practices.

• Generate performance insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Lead and mentor a small team of AppDynamics administrators/engineers.

• Ensure integration of AppDynamics with other observability tools (e.g., Splunk, ServiceNow, Datadog, OpenTelemetry if applicable).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of total IT experience with at least 3-5 years in AppDynamics Administration and Implementation.

• Strong expertise in AppDynamics configuration, agent deployment (Java, .NET, NodeJS, Database, Machine), and troubleshooting.

• Hands-on experience in dashboard creation, health rules, baselining, and alerting setup.

• Solid understanding of application architecture, microservices, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with APM concepts, root cause analysis, and transaction snapshots.

• Experience with AppDynamics REST APIs and integration with CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.

• Good scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Shell, Python) for automation tasks.
