Select appropriate fabrics, colors, patterns, and trims for each design.
Production oversight
:
Create patterns and oversee the creation of prototypes and samples.
Collaborate with manufacturers and production teams to ensure designs are made correctly.
Conduct fittings and make adjustments to designs.
Collaboration
:
Work with merchandising, marketing, and other design teams to ensure collections are cohesive and meet business goals.
Present designs and concepts to stakeholders.
Brand and budget management
:
Ensure designs align with brand identity, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Create cost sheets and manage the financial aspects of the design process.
Skills and qualifications
