The Buyer (Apparel) will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and managing apparel assortments that align with current fashion trends and online customer demand. The role focuses on identifying high-conversion products, optimizing inventory performance, and ensuring profitability through effective vendor negotiation and data-driven buying decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Visit and source apparel from key markets including
Jaipur (primary)
and
Surat, Ahmedabad, and other relevant markets
to identify trending and fast-moving products.
Analyze market trends and customer preferences to identify apparel with
strong online sales potential
.
Finalize product selection and decide
online listings
to ensure optimal conversion and sales performance.
Work closely with
Design, Merchandising, and Digital teams
to align product assortment with brand positioning and online marketing strategies.
Plan and manage
assortment planning, replenishment cycles, and stock optimization
to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve
target margins
and cost efficiencies.
Monitor
online sales data, sell-through, and performance metrics
and take corrective actions on buying decisions when required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and continuously evaluate new sourcing opportunities.
Eligibility & Experience
Minimum
6+ years of experience
as a Buyer in the
Apparel / Fashion Retail
industry.
Mandatory experience in
visiting and sourcing from Jaipur, Surat, Ahmedabad
, and similar apparel markets.
Strong understanding of
online fashion trends, customer demand patterns, and fast-fashion cycles
.
Working knowledge of
online marketplaces, D2C platforms, and social commerce models
.
