App Developer Engineer Location: Bengaluru Your impact & contribution Our greenfield platform is built solely on AWS, with automated deployments managed via GitOps. You\'ll work on both project and BAU tasks, including establishment of our API portals, developing automation to simplify onboarding to our API gateways & ensuring adherence to CBA\'s API standards. The Application Developer will report to the Engineering Manager. Your reporting lines This role has key internal relationships with all other development and infrastructure roles, Technical Consultants, Business Analysts and Project members. Your responsibilities You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA\'s Values and People Capabilities. Design and development of Microservices (RESTful APIs, Reactive and Batch) based applications. Development of APIs based on BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) spec Follow coding standards and best practices to achieve high quality outcome. Play an active role in positively influencing the design direction and decisions. Check in and deploy code and configurations participate in release management. Taking ownership of the features/components - from development through deployment and verification, to setting up in production. Participate in key initiatives from the Engineering team on innovative ways to improve capability, standards and risk profile of the platform. Cooperate with other departments and stakeholders as required to perform assigned duties or reasonably assist other staff in performing their duties. Server-less Computing using AWS (AWS lambda, Kong API gateway, IM Roles & Policy, Bean Stalk, Fargate, VPC, SubNets, Route tables, Load balancer, EC2, EKS etc.). Good experience with API Gateways - preferably Kong. Solid understanding of RESTful API\'s Good knowledge on API security standards using OpenId Connect. CI-CD Tools - Github, Github Action, SonarQube, Teamcity, Docker, Kubernetes Microservices Architecture, Design Patterns and best practices in software programming. Expertise in MVC framework, Oauth2 and AWS CDK. Working knowledge of Kafka, IBM MQ, Sql and No-sql DB. Monitoring and logging tools - Splunk, AppD and Cloud Watch Canary. Experienced in Performance Tuning while building High throughput and resilient applications. SDLC with Agile methodology.
