Job Description

As the APJC Regional EH&S Lead, you will spearhead ERM's EH&S consulting efforts across the Asia Pacific, Japan, China, and India regions--leading a dynamic team of consultants based in Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia. This is a pivotal leadership role that blends strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep subject matter expertise to deliver impactful, compliant, and forward-thinking EH&S outcomes for our clients. You will be responsible for inspiring and managing a high-performing team, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services, fostering client relationships, and driving innovation in health, safety, and environmental management across diverse and complex regulatory landscapes. Your leadership will directly influence the success of EH&S programs and the growth of ERM's presence in the region.Minimum RequirementsBS/MS in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Engineering, or related science degree. 8+ years relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors preferred. Project Management and ability to lead large project teams within the APAC or other large geographical region. Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing project budgets and expenses. Ability to travel. Strong written and verbal communication skills (English) and the ability to communicate effectively. Local language is not required but desired.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Leadership & Compliance: Lead EH&S operations across the APJC region, ensuring all activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, and aligning with global best practices. Strategic Program Development: Design and roll out region-specific EH&S strategies, risk management systems, incident response protocols, and compliance evaluation frameworks tailored to client and regulatory needs. Performance & Financial Accountability: Oversee project delivery and team performance, manage client expectations, ensure quality of deliverables, and maintain financial oversight in line with ERM's project and account management standards. Continuous Improvement: Champion innovation and continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance across multiple industries and client sites. Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and support seconded EH&S professionals across the region, ensuring effective implementation of programs and adherence to country-specific legislation. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key liaison for regional EH&S communications, articulating strategy, performance, and value to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Training & Capability Building: Deliver targeted training and awareness programs to strengthen the technical capability and consistency of EH&S practices across the region. Technical Excellence: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in areas such as Electromagnetic Field & Radio Frequency Surveys and Noise Assessments, supporting clients with specialist advice and solutions to emerging EH&S challenges.

Financial Acumen: Experience in managing project budgets, resource allocation, and commercial performance, with an eye on profitability and value delivery. Collaboration in a Matrixed Environment: Proven experience working cross-functionally across teams and regions both internally and externally within a global, matrixed organizational structure. Accountability & Ownership: High level of personal accountability, taking ownership of outcomes and driving performance with integrity and purpose. Quality & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency in project execution, reporting, and client deliverables.
