Introduction
The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for supporting customers and Business Implementation Managers (BIM) in API onboarding, participating in implementation projects, and for maintaining/improving the quality of the current Public API interfaces/documentation we offer on our Developer Portal.
The BA role descriptionTechnical Requirements
Basic knowledge of the OpenAPI Specification (OAS),
Basic knowledge of the HTTP(S) protocol and OAuth 2.0,
Basic knowledge of JSON, XML and HTML formats
Requirements analysis and specifications
Assist in API Projects, and in the pre-sales phase if requested,
Align customer/business requirements and needs with BIM,
Analyse obtained requirements to ensure they fit within our Public APIs,
Assist customers in Public API Implementation and collaborate with BIM to manage client relationship,
Follows standard guidelines and practises,
Document the work done according to the agreed format/way,
Coordinate with other IT teams if required (TMS teams, myDSV/eDC/Xpress, APIC, ESB).
Development, Quality and Testing
Manage changes in the scope, re-estimate and re-plan work if needed,
Provide guidance and assistance to customers during the testing and integration of Public APIs, ensuring smooth implementation and resolution of any technical issues,
Act as a point of contact between customers and internal teams to address feedback, troubleshoot problems,
Align the production deployment with BIM.
Hypercare:
Help to understand or provide guidance for Hypercare process,
Support troubleshooting if requested.
General and time
Align timely, efficient, and proactive stakeholder communication with BIM.
Priority, escalations
Follow the priority set by Global BIM/API PO,
Escalate encountered issues to Team Lead and/or CINTO,
Escalate priority conflicts to Team Lead and/or CINTO.

Analytical skills - can highlight the key elements of the scope of work, provide BIM with insights necessary to find the most suitable solution,

Communication skills - communicate timely, efficiently, and proactively to all stakeholders of the project,
Team player - shares knowledge and experience, supports others when needed.
DOsEscalate if there are any delays in the implementation,
Begin the project with kick-off meeting according to best practices,
Make sure that any solution follows the best practices for API integrations,
Allign with BIM on business requirements, analyses them, and makes sure the UAT tests scenarios addresses the initially agreed scope,
Re-estimate scope if needed,
Make sure customer API specification has all needed information and is created according to the Public API specifications,
Manage changes in the scope,
Maintains Jira and other project Tools to reflect the status,
Makes sure that the solution passed QA,
Oversees UAT tests and help if needed,
Make sure the solution is deployed according to the planned date,
Be compliant with standard development and other standardization guidelines,
Alerts Team Lead if the scope change affect workload or pipeline commitments,
Alerts Team Lead about priority conflicts,
Escalate to Team Lead communication issues with BIM,
Shares knowledge and experience with others
Shares ideas for improvement in the development process.
DON'TsProceed with implementations without having all the necessary requirements,
Proceed with documentation and deployment preparations without a clear UAT sign off from the responsible person,
Agree to solutions that cannot be carried out,
Make any implementation related changes without aligning it with BIM,
Underestimate any difficulties or questions that may arise during the implementation,
Leave crucial tasks to be done at the last minute,
Create API Project in ServiceNow,
Perform UAT tests on behalf of BIM,
Modify scope without confirming with BIM.
