Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled API Automation Tester with hands-on experience in REST Assured to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for RESTful APIs to ensure product quality and stability.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated test scripts for REST APIs using REST Assured and Java.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand API requirements.
• Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test documentation.
• Perform integration, regression, and performance testing on APIs.
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Report testing metrics and contribute to continuous test process improvements.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in API testing and automation.
• Strong experience with REST Assured and Java.
• Solid understanding of RESTful architecture and HTTP methods.
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Experience with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD and build tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API schema validation.

Good to Have:

• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
• Exposure to contract testing (e.g., Pact).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Basic knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
