Job Requisition ID #24WD77284Position OverviewThe Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy, based in New Delhi, will support the work of the Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), with a primary focus on India and a secondary focus on Southeast Asia. This position will advance Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s public policy goals and values before key policymakers, establish relationships with these stakeholders, participate in industry associations related to public policy and advocacy, and monitor and provide support on policy issues affecting Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s business such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), data privacy, sustainability, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud, water management, advanced manufacturing, government procurement, and economic development.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and execution of Government Affairs & Public Policy strategies and programs in APJ on relevant public policy issues, with a primary focus on India and Southeast Asia.Work with Commercial, Strategy, and Legal management teams to understand Autodesk business goals and strategies and identify key public policy developments, opportunities, and challenges that affect the company.Develop and execute strategies to engage policymakers in order to enhance Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and establish relationships with key government officials.Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments in India and Southeast Asia, and assess the possible impact on Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s business and reputation.Identify and engage with industry associations, coalitions, and other third-party organizations in order to foster strong relationships with like-minded companies and strengthen support for Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s commercial and public policy objectives.Write policy and issue briefings to support internal and external communications.Manage third party consultant work and activities that support Autodesk\xe2\x80\x99s commercial and public policy objectives.Minimum QualificationsA degree in a discipline related to public policy, law or public administration is preferred.7+ years of working experience in government positions in India, or in government affairs for a private-sector company, or in an association in the technology, construction, or manufacturing industries.Demonstrated ability to manage public policy issues, navigate government structures, and advocate effectively before government officials in India.Strong business acumen.Capable of working in a highly-matrixed environment, with a broad range of professionals in different geographies.Self-starter with a history of working independently.Strong networking and interpersonal skills.Excellent listening, writing, and speaking skills.#LI-AV1Learn MoreAbout Autodesk
