Role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing Ansible playbooks, related integrations and working on various aspects of CI/CD, version control, and testing.

W

hat you'll do

A

utomation Development and Maintenance:

D+ evelop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure and applications. U+ tilize version control systems like Git to manage code repositories and collaborate effectively with other team members.
C+ onduct testing and debugging of developed playbooks to ensure high-quality deliverables, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
D+ ocument technical specifications, processes, and procedures related to the developed content.
A

utomation Integration and Robustness:

I+ ntegrate and maintain Ansible automation into existing systems and workflows. M+ onitor and improve the performance, FTSR (Fault Tolerance and Service Recovery), and speed of automation
S+ erve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for ECS delivery-wide architectural topics related to Ansible runs, including intake and processing of issues and feedback.
A

utomation Governance and Support:

M+ aintain governance for Ansible playbooks, including support models and RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrices L+ iaise with other architecture and development teams for overall framework alignment
R+ eview code and Pull Requests
A

utomation Development Enablement:

O+ nboard new members and provide continuous updates on new features/changes to the development community. E+ valuate new kinds of use cases and share best practices to enhance developer efficiency.
P+ repare knowledge nuggets/presentations and conduct community calls with TechOps.
C+ reate, maintain, and enforce documentation to ensure consistency and clarity.
C+ ontribute to Scrum calls as a Product Owner, including overall backlog review and housekeeping.

utomation Monitoring and Maintenance:

M+ onitor and maintain Ansible development support component SLAs. E+ nsure the robustness and reliability of Ansible playbooks and related integrations.

hat you bring

T

echnical Skills:

S+ trong understanding of Ansible and experience in developing Ansible playbooks. K+ nowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and experience in managing code repositories.
F+ amiliarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like GitHub Actions.
K+ nowledge of scripting using languages like PERL, Python or Bash.
K+ nowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
A+ good understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
E+ xperience in designing and implementing automated tests.
S

oft Skills:

S+ trong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. E+ xcellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
A+ bility to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, while also being open to learning from experienced team members
