Job Summary:



We are seeking a skilled and compassionate

ANM Nurse

to join our eye care team. The role involves assisting ophthalmologists in outpatient procedures, surgical preparations, patient counselling, and ensuring smooth coordination between the nursing, pharmacy, and reception teams. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient-friendly, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and care.

Key Responsibilities:



Clinical Support



Assist doctors in

OPD procedures

,

eye dressings

, and

post-operative care

. Monitor and record

vital signs

; assist in administering eye drops, injections, and medications as advised. Prepare patients for

cataract, pterygium, and minor eye surgeries

. Support doctors during

surgical procedures

(e.g., IOL handling, instrument passing). Ensure

instrument sterilization

and maintain aseptic techniques at all times. Maintain and check

surgical sets

, dressing materials, and disposables daily.

Patient Care & Coordination



Guide patients for investigations, counselling, and post-surgery instructions. Ensure smooth coordination with

reception, pharmacy, and insurance desk

. Maintain

patient records, consent forms, and case sheets

neatly and accurately. Provide emotional support to patients and attendants during the treatment process.

Inventory & Hygiene Maintenance



Check and maintain daily stock of

consumables, medicines, and dressing materials

. Monitor expiry dates and report shortages to the Nursing In-Charge. Ensure daily

cleanliness and hygiene

of treatment and procedure rooms. Participate in

infection control practices

and maintain nursing area presentation.

Documentation & Compliance



Maintain nursing registers:

Procedure Register, Dressing Register, Injection Register

. Support in

insurance documentation

and discharge summary filing. Assist during internal audits and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

Eligibility Criteria:



Qualification:

ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) - Recognized Nursing Council registration required.

Experience:

0-3 years in ophthalmic or clinical settings. (Freshers with interest in eye care may apply.)

Skills Required:

Good knowledge of basic nursing and first aid. Understanding of sterile techniques and instrument handling. Effective communication and patient counselling skills. Punctuality, teamwork, and professional behavior.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
