Animation Production Coordinator (Experienced)

Position: Animation Production Coordinator

Department: Production

Location: On-site

Reports to: Production Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Animation Production Coordinator to join our team and support the smooth execution of animated projects from pre-production through delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong background in animation and children's book/ comic book illustration pipelines, scheduling, and interdepartmental communication, ensuring creative and technical teams stay aligned with project goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

oCoordinate daily production activities across multiple departments (illustration, storyboard, layout, design, animation, compositing, etc.).

oPlan and Track project progress, update schedules, and flag risks to ensure deadlines are met.

oAttend client calls and understand the project inside out.

oMaintain clear communication between artists, supervisors, and production management.

oPrepare and distribute production reports, meeting notes, and task lists.

oAssist in resource planning--managing assignments, deadlines, and approvals.

oSupport the Production Manager in organizing reviews, dailies, and deliveries.

oEnsure assets, files, and documentation are properly named, stored, and delivered.

oAnticipate potential workflow or pipeline issues and propose solutions.

oServe as a point of contact for external vendors or freelance talent when required.

Qualifications & Skills

oExperience: Minimum 3-5 years in animation, 2D, 3D and Books illustration.

oStrong understanding of the animation/illustration pipeline

oProficient in production tracking tools (e.g., Frame.io, Discord, slack, Excel, Google sheets, or similar).

oExcellent communication skills (English and Hindi)

oExcellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

oStrong communication and interpersonal skills--able to work effectively with both creative and technical teams.

oAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

oProblem-solving mindset and proactive attitude.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

oExperience in 2D animation series, or educational animation pipelines.

Experience in children's book and comic book production.

oFamiliarity with industry-standard software (Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, After Effects etc.).
