Post: Animal Nutritionist Consultant
Nutritional Assessment: Evaluate the nutritional value and chemical composition of raw materials, forages, and supplements through laboratory analysis and sensory evaluation.
Consultative Support: Provide expert advice to farmers, veterinarians, and feed manufacturers on feeding strategies, diet efficacy, and managing nutritional disorders.
Quality & Compliance: Monitor feed formulations to ensure they meet stringent industry health standards, safety protocols, and regional regulations.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct field trials and analyze animal performance data (e.g., weight gain, milk yield) to adjust and improve dietary recommendations.
R&D and Innovation: Research new feed ingredients, additives, and global nutritional trends to develop competitive and sustainable products
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or a related biological field is required. Many senior consulting roles prefer a Master's or PhD.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in feed formulation software (e.g., Concept5, WinFeed) and data analysis tools.
In-depth knowledge of animal physiology, biochemistry, and metabolic processes.
Experience with laboratory techniques for feed analysis and quality control.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills for complex ratio calculations.
Effective communication for translating scientific data into actionable advice for clients.
Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
