We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced

Anesthesia Medical Coder

to join our medical coding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia services, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze anesthesia records and operative reports Assign correct CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for procedures and diagnoses Apply appropriate modifiers and calculate anesthesia time units accurately Ensure coding compliance based on industry standards (AAPC/AHIMA guidelines) Work with billing and audit teams to resolve discrepancies Meet productivity and accuracy targets consistently Stay updated with the latest coding updates and payer policies

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in

Anesthesia coding

Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA (

CPC, COC, CCS, etc.

) preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to anesthesia Familiarity with NCCI edits and payer-specific requirements Good communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

Experience with US-based healthcare providers or RCM companies Exposure to coding audits or quality analysis in anesthesia coding Experience with medical coding software and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
