Desired Candidate profile

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Anesthesia Coding Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding with specific proficiency in Anesthesia coding guidelines and modifiers. This role involves training, mentoring, and assessing coders to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with payer and industry standards.


5-7 years in Anesthesia Coding (including at least 1-2 years in a training or mentoring role) Prior experience as a trainer, mentor, or quality auditor preferred. Strong understanding of ASA Relative Value Guide (RVG) and anesthesia time/unit calculation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to train both fresher and experienced coders effectively. Proficiency in MS Office tools and e-learning/training platforms. #

Job Responsibilities

Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions on Anesthesia coding, including ASA guidelines, modifiers, time calculations, and concurrency rules. Design and implement training materials, assessments, and refresher modules for new and existing coders. Evaluate trainees' performance and provide individual feedback and performance improvement plans. Stay updated on the latest CPT/ICD/HCPCS updates, payer policies, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with the Quality and Operations teams to identify training needs and bridge performance gaps. Ensure 100% compliance with company policies, HIPAA, and coding accuracy standards. Support certification preparation for coders (CPC, COC, or anesthesia-specific credentials). Flexible with shift timings Location:
