Job Description

Seeking an Android TV Application Developer to join our team on a

contract-to-hire

basis. This is a

fully remote

opportunity, with

quarterly travel to Hyderabad

for short team sprints.

You will focus on building robust, high-performance applications for Smart TVs using

native Kotlin development

, cloud integration with

AWS

, and crafting intuitive user interfaces for TV screens. This role is perfect for developers passionate about modern tech, media experiences, and secure cloud-connected apps.

Responsibilities
Application Development

Design and maintain native Android TV applications using

Kotlin

. Build custom components for Leanback and TV-optimized interfaces. Collaborate with designers to deliver fluid UI/UX.
Integration & Collaboration

Integrate apps with

AWS cloud services

. Collaborate with back-end teams on API communication.
Security & Performance

Implement secure data handling practices. Optimize apps for low-latency, smooth interactions.
Testing & Debugging

Test across Smart TV models and OS versions. Debug and fix issues to meet delivery timelines.
Documentation

Maintain clear code documentation and progress reports.
Key Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in

Android development with Kotlin

. Experience with or willingness to specialize in

Android TV

. Familiarity with

AWS

services and integration. Understanding of

Bluetooth protocols

or

IoT

is a plus. Proficiency in

mobile app security best practices

. Bonus: Knowledge of

React

Node.js

Python
