This Role is part of FSSC Accounting and working for DCS entities/part of Oakleaf.

Key accountabilities

  • Financial Accounting, Analysis, Reporting (Either be Network Revenue/ Voice - DCOS, Fixed Cost, General Accounting/Consolidation/Fixed Asset (Capex)/Interco/Bank Recons ).
  • Finalisation of P&L, B/S (Revenue/Cost/Interco/Bank Recon, Fixed Asset, etc), Variance analysis and commentaries
  • Preparation of Manual Journal postings (Accruals / Provisions/Prepayment /Reclasses etc.)
  • Responsible for timely closure of projects, capitalisations & other project related activities
  • Creation of manual assets, maintenance, retirement in Fixed Asset sub-ledger.
  • Working on CIP reviews & following up with Finance Business Partners / Project Managers for timely project updates
  • Performing the month-end closing activities including sub-ledger closing as per the close calendar
  • Analysis of key financial numbers (Accruals, Provisions, Liabilities etc), month-end reporting.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations including timely closure of open items
  • Supporting Internal / Statutory Audits.
  • Undertakes ad-hoc analytical and reporting assignments at the request of stakeholders
  • Ensures accurate accounting for Non-standard items in compliance with group policies.
  • Carry-out monthly/quarterly/annual close activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Hands-on in preparation of process documentation and process flows
Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)
  • Accounting of financial transactions as per Colt\'s policies and procedures
  • Timeliness and accuracy of reconciliations
  • Timeliness and Accuracy of reports
  • Timeliness and Accuracy of other deliverables
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Identification and timely escalation of potential issues to Manager
Relationships and key contacts
  • Different teams within Asia Finance, DCS Accounting, FSSC India, Taxation, FP&A, CRES, TLC, Sales Reporting, Billing, IT, Finance etc.
  • Finance business teams based in Europe, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Regional Finance, DCS Finance etc.
  • Project Managers, DCS Management
Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

Mandatory

Relevant financial experience in an international and/or complex environment, with a proven broad knowledge of financial practices and procedures

Direct track record and experience in role purpose and accountabilities

  • Good Accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of Financial Statements.
  • Must be able to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Good in communication & presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure situations to meet stringent timelines.
  • Always ready to take up new responsibilities.
  • A good team player always available for supporting other team members
  • Flexibility
  • Good hands on MS Excel
  • Handling Audits (Internal / Statutory)
  • Subject Matter Expert in relevant Functional Area.
Experience
  • Graduates / Post Graduates having an experience of 3-8 years

  • B. Com Graduation / Post Graduation/ Accounting degree

  • Be aware of colt information security, business continuity, quality and other ISO or equivalent policies/ industry standards and discharge duties against them as appropriate.
  • Identify risks related to process and information security and treat/ mitigate the same as appropriate
