Job Overview
At General Mills, we are looking for an experienced Social media analyst with good visualization, data handling, problem solving and communication skills to support the CMI team to solve business questions. The candidate must be able to \xe2\x80\x93

assist team members on projects and take end to end accountability for work delivered

evaluate multiple data sources (social media, search analytics, secondary research) and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights. Provide the \xe2\x80\x9cstory\xe2\x80\x9d not just the data.

Job Responsibilities

90% of Time
Social Media Listening & Connected Insights

- Analyze consumer behavior in terms of their attitudes, opinions, and actions to enable the team to understand brand sentiment, upcoming trends and competitor performance in the social space

- Analyze social analytics data sets and growth projections to drive business prioritization

- Evaluate multiple data sources across social media, search analytics, secondary research and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights to answer the specific business questions

- Develop proficiency in using multiple tools like Trendscope, Synthesio, Google analytics

- Read and understand qualitative data i.e. social media comments

- Develop proficiency in using dashboards for trend analysis

- End-to-end project execution and presenting the insights to internal business segments

- Deliver bigger and complex projects under supervision of team leader/ manager within agreed timelines and as per agreed quality standards

- Complete and Leverage IDP for self-development

- Identify and undergo self-learning modules

- Participate in project related trainings

- Make presentations on the right forum

Education

Minimum Degree Requirements: Masters
Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
Preferred Major Area of Study: Marketing / Market Research
Required Professional Certifications: Master In Business Administration
Preferred Professional Certifications: Master In Business Administration

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required:1 year
Preferred years of related experience:2 years

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
Must have skills:

- 1-2 yrs experience in social media listening, social analytics or similar role

- Must have a strong background in social listening, social analytics (using metrics like impressions, reach), hashtag tracking, competitive intelligence

- Must have used social media listening tools like Synthesio, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Black Swan etc.

- Must have a proven experience in connecting insights from multiple data sources within social media, data analytics and secondary research

- Must have fluency working with numerical data sets using excel and creating reports in Powerpoint

- Must have proven ability to manage stakeholders and scale up research initiatives for the organization

- Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way

Good to have skills:

- Experience in trend analysis is preferred

- Good to have an experience working on dashboards

- Experience in Trendscope is preferred

- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple stakeholders at the same time

- Attention to detail

- Problem solving skills

- Prior experience in CPG industry preferred
