About Catalytic Philanthropy:
The Catalytic Philanthropy team focuses on strengthening philanthropic endeavors by providing advisory services to funders, capacity-building support to non-profit organizations, and generating research insights to drive informed decision-making. This includes assisting funders in refining their giving approaches, supporting NGOs in enhancing their operational capacities, and conducting research to identify sectoral needs and opportunities for impact.
About the Role:
As a PMO, you will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless project management and ensuring sound financial management. This dynamic role combines responsibilities across program coordination, financial operations, and compliance. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders, manage data and systems, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and statutory regulations.
This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for social impact, a strong aptitude for numbers, and the ability to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations Support:
Track and manage expenses for each project, including invoices and payments.
Maintain and update financial trackers to ensure MIS reporting
Ensure timely and smooth processing of grant payments in coordination with the Finance team.
Maintain and update financial trackers for all grants and team expenses.
Monitor grants by tracking disbursements, timelines, and reporting requirements.
Play a role of a Finance connect supporting data requests from both the Finance team and the Program team
Operational and Data Support
:
Handle administrative tasks, including paperwork for agreements, including agreements, contracts, MoUs, and other records, and maintain organized operational files and records.
Input and manage data accurately in trackers, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring consistency and data integrity through regular reviews and checks for discrepancies.
Generate and share MIS (Management Information System) reports such as "Team's time spent vs planned time", "Project expense reports", etc.
Technical Support:
Assist in basic technical support across various tools, systems, and software used within the team.
Support creation of new projects in internal systems and ensure project details are regularly updated.
Play a role of a Tech connect supporting requests from both the Tech team and the Program team
Troubleshoot and escalate technical issues as needed to the relevant departments.
Team Coordination:
Coordinate with Finance, Tech, Admin, and other support teams to ensure smooth operations.
Help organize internal meetings, document action points, and follow up on tasks.
Support team members with any operational or backend needs as they arise.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in finance operations, accounts, data management, or project coordination.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; comfortable working with data and reports.
Good communication and coordination skills; organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn new tools.
