This exciting role offers opportunity to: Overview The Analyst will be a member of the Workforce Analytics and Planning team which provides business driven, evidence-based insights that support the planning and execution of Eaton’s talent strategy. For this role, the chosen candidate will work in HR Analytics for the HR function. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate analytical thinking and learning agility in the day-to-day responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the team and HR leaders via ad-hoc reports, data, and dashboards. The role requires focus on details, ability to work on multiple projects and a drive for excellence in execution by working within a matrix organization.

  • Design, develop and service Power BI dashboards, support functional team usage
  • Support end to end project handling from requirement gathering, data collection, transformation and cleaning and creating interactive dashboards and regression testing.
  • Create data models to support creation of advanced analytics, BI toolsets, and automated reporting and apply automation techniques using SQL, Power BI Dataflows, etc., wherever required.
  • Develop thorough understanding of underlying processes related to data engineering w.r.t source systems and BI tools.
  • Develop expertise in understanding databases, source systems and related data and metrics used.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting in SQL, OBIEE
  • Support projects by providing consultation on data and technical implementations.
  • Work in close liaison between IT and business teams to implement large scale projects.
  • Support User Acceptance testing for data and metrics in reporting environments

Qualifications

Requirement:
  • Efficient in using Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI and OBIEE preferred)
  • Expertise in writing intermediate level SQL queries
  • Expertise in Advanced Excel
  • Good in collaborating with IT teams on solving reporting issues and should be able to create and execute user acceptance test plans for business intelligence and reporting environments
  • Good in gathering and understanding business requirements and translating them into interactive dashboards and reports
  • Proficient in data modelling and handling of large amount of data and automation and optimization of the reports
  • Analytical mindset – proficient in deriving meaning out of data, metrics, and trends
  • End-to-end problem-solving and communication abilities: diagnosis, data cleaning, integration and transformation, analysis, visualization, and presentation
  • Has high level of self-motivation, is a quick learner and can work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and work with multiple stakeholders in different time zones
  • Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience in managing and analysing structured data using tools such as Python, R
  • Familiarity with ETL tools & processes (e.g., MS Dataflows, MS Power Query, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-6 years of experience/Master’s Degree with 1-2 years of experience in HR Analytics or similar domain.
