The role will support cross franchises within J&J Medical Technology. APAC Strategic Insights & Analytics is a newly established team responsible for delivering strategic insights, data, and analytics for APAC portfolio across various franchise.

  • The group drives alignment across franchises, platforms, and clusters through central-lead, cross-functional teamwork and proven foundation in research and data analytics. The members of the APAC team work closely with the regional Customer, Market, and Portfolio leads to build value-based cases and drive a portfolio of strategic initiatives passionate about near and long-term revenue growth opportunities.
: The Analyst will be responsible for integrating critical marketplace analytics and reporting within the SI&A team, in support of the -franchises. The incumbent will work with global, regional, and local teams to analyze and manage market sizing, growth, and share across platforms and regions.

Person would require to bring in high degree of eye for business and understanding and must proactively recommend plus build tools (excel or tableau).

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Customer Analytics: Support Business Unit Insights Team in:
  • APAC Market & Share Analytics and Competitive Reporting
  • Secondary insights and marketplace assessment solutions
  • Fact based insights and analytics programs to address strategic business needs
  • Lead quarterly market growth and share model development & maintenance, consolidating Region/Platform views and crafting reports for Sr. leadership that provide insights into key market and sales drivers
  • Partner with reporting and consolidations teams to build and maintain outstanding analytical and marketplace assessment and reporting practices
  • Responsible for report development such as quarterly performance of critical metrics, profit optimization, and ad-hoc analyses while also supporting risk assessment and recommendations Assist with the development, creation and monitoring of business forecasts and price changes.
Pricing Analytics

APAC price insights packages; PVM analysis
  • Creating insights from brand ladders and helping team to come-up with strategically important new brand ladders
  • Lead discussions to advise business leaders to generate insights on customer price sensitivities, market intelligence, and profitability impacts, with the objective of Profit optimization.
  • Perform sophisticated analysis to evaluate critical areas for improvement, including price setting, revenue optimization, and strategic alignment with channels, and customer segment. This may include correlation analysis and regression analysis.
Key relationships: Work cross-functionally with the Reginal marketing, Pricing Team, Finance, Marketing to define, deploy and direct robust and effective price analytics, delivery and execution capabilities.
Qualifications

Education:
  • BS/BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field, healthcare is required
  • MBA or MS or other advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in secondary market research, forecasting, strategic insights, market research, business analytics, finance, problem solving using quantitative research, analysis, and data. field is required
  • Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred
  • Ability to understand, translate and integrate marketplace data and secondary data tools into concrete insights to drive decision-making is required
  • Solid understanding of and experience with secondary market research tools and data analytics is preferred
  • Knowledge of competitive intelligence data and strategic insight work is preferred
  • Ability to synthesize disparate data sources to provide an integrated insight view of the market/business is required
  • Thorough solid understanding and experience with forecasting is required
Experience and Skills:
  • Primary and secondary market research experience - engaging with both external and internal data sets
  • Data analytics experience working with structured and unstructured data
  • Relevant Pricing analytics and strategic insight's experience preferred with prior consulting experience a plus
  • Hands-on experience in pricing analytics including price erosion, price sensitivity, volume mix analysis, strategic insights projects, etc.
  • Curious/Inquisitive: Investigates the current situation, asks the relevant questions needed to get the whole picture then provides specific practical recommendations
  • Proficiency in excel, Business Intelligence tool Tableau, and Power Point
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with multiple business partners.
  • Ability to find out-of-the-box/non-traditional ways of problem solving and apply innovative thinking when approaching and defining solutions
  • Manage and create high-impact tactical and strategic marketplace understanding for the Business Unit
Other:
  • Strong project management skills in a deadline-oriented environment are required. Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, and analytical tools (Tableau, QLIK, R, SAS, SPSS or SQL) is required.
  • Proven track record to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights and coherent strategies AND Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural APAC Strategic Insights & Pricing team.
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, growing, deadline driven, startup-up environment. Ability to advise rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data. Self-motivated, driven to achieve team's commitment
