JOB PURPOSE

  • Responsible and accountable for Inbound Logistics Operations- Finished Goods (Buy-Sell) & Manufactured Goods (Make-sell) thru Air/ Ocean/ Courier Mode; including Track-Trace, Custom clearance, liaising with 3rd party LSP (Customs Broker, warehouse and transporter etc.), Inbound STO Operations, GIT, Inventory Management and Regional warehouse operations for timely & safe delivery of shipment across INS region.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to Customs, DGFT, GST, TAX regulatory and EHSS compliances related to function and Business.
  • Identify opportunities and Responsible for driving optimization in Logistics Network with the aim to support on-time delivery, reduction in Cycle Time, High service level and productivity at economical cost to customer and SABIC.
  • Responsible for ERP operations related to Inbound, Warehouse/ LE modules in SAP/FANAR, connectivity with WMS of outsourced WH service providers, BPO and vendor Management for INS Region
  • Responsible for periodic stock count, annual stock take, physical inventory accuracy, document retention, meet INS compliance requirements related to warehouse & Inbound operations. Deliver reporting for SC performance viz Cost, EHSS, Compliance, Inventory accuracy.
  • Execute the recommendations from India SC leadership for meeting delivery strategy to optimize overall logistics costs, ensure logistics operations are at optimum efficiency and stay within budgetary constraints

Job Responsibilities

Inbound Operations- Supplier Management & Liaising with Customs:
  • Responsible and accountable for End to End Inbound handling of FG Material from SABIC Affiliate/ External SABIC Suppliers & other related suppliers including Documentation Handling; Validation of Data Entry in DSR, liaising with Custom House agent, Port Authorities, Shipping Line, Forwarders, CFS and Transporters to ensure safe and on-timely delivery of shipment to Plant and Regional warehouses.
  • Responsible for addressing all Customs issues relating to Import; keeping all stakeholders informed on the progress and seeking resolution within an agreed time frame including Personal hearings/ Audits from customs, DGFT etc.
  • Responsible for procurement & closure of Licenses/ Duty Drawback required by Business- AA License, SEIS etc. and manage all DGFT & customs related tasks.
  • Responsible and accountable for Timely Filling of BOE / Shipping Bill with customs authorities to avoid any Detention & Demurrage, Penalties, Interest on custom duty & ensure to get custom clearance of shipment within defined Timelines
  • Responsible for raising and closure of QN with supplier (For Short/ Excess) for FG, Filling of Insurance Claim Damaged Goods/container & claim settlement with Insurance Co or respective Stakeholder
  • Responsible & accountable for Periodic Review & Assessment of Related Harmonized Codes (HS Code), Revision of Custom Duty Tariffs, Review of New Custom & DGFT Guidelines, Identifying Items falling under Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to avail duty benefit, Ownership to lead Customs and Tax Audits, Timely resolution of customs related queries keeping Top Management informed
  • Responsible and accountable for Pre and Post Custom clearance documents- Home Consumption/ HSS; BOE Submission to Finance; Closure of Double duty Bond if any and other related activities.
  • Validation of vendor\'s Invoices as per agreed Contract, Submission to BPO for PO & SES creation for payment processing. Monitoring the overall invoice submission per agreed process for timely cost reporting
  • Responsible and accountable for other tasks linked direct or indirect including but not limited to Inbound Operations
  • Ensure to Work collaboratively with cross-functional team such as Planning, finance, tax, manufacturing and procurement team to improve process flow efficiency
  • Ensures compliance with Local and International laws and regulations
  • Identify opportunities and Responsible for driving optimization to Inbound- FG with the aim to support on-time delivery with correctness in Quantity, Quality at economical cost to SABIC
  • Responsible for other tasks assigned by Management on time to time basis.

Warehouse Operations- Stock Transport Orders (STO- Make-Sell and Buy-Sell):
  • Responsible and accountable for managing Regional Warehouse Operations - Inbound STO Operations from SABIC Affiliate, Compounding Plant (Make-Sell) and Buy-Sell material & Inventory management.
  • Ensure that warehouse is compliant with CSR, EHSS, organization values and business goals.
  • Responsible and accountable for Managing warehouse operations specifically with respect to meeting SABIC ERP requirements and India Trade / Tax compliance requirement, Inventory Accuracy, Safe storage of SABIC Stock, Reporting.
  • Analyze reports such as Quality complaints, Pilferages etc. to drive improvements through proper RCA
  • Manage the product returns to the Warehouse and ensure items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock within defined Timeframe
  • Manage the processing Transportation/ Warehouse-Storage/ Handling/ OT bills related to Regional Warehouses & able to perform Transportation & Operating cost Analysis, Freight spent analysis and tracking against Defined target
  • Responsible for maintenance of Proper W/H Document Retention- Records of Delivery Management- IOD/POD, E-waybill etc... required for Tax & other Compliance Audits
  • Responsible for raising and closure of QN (For Short/ Excess) related to STO deliveries/ warehouse, Filling of Insurance Claim for Damaged Goods & Claim settlement with Insurance Co or respective Stakeholder/Transporter/ 3PL warehouse
  • Identify areas for Outsourcing within WH operations and drive projects to minimize cost and improve efficiency of the operations. Ensure that such outsourcing activities are smoothly transitioned and continuous supervision.

Vendor Management:
  • Manage KPI targets- Custom Clearance, Delivery of shipment within Defined TAT, Logistics costs and service standards, EHSS Issues & Closure, Analysis of GIT (Goods in Transit), Coordination with Plant and 3PL WH team for GR pendency, Timely Bills submission and Reconciliation of Account with respective Vendors- CHA, CFS, Shipping Line, obtaining No Due Certificate from Respective Vendor Quarterly etc.
  • Monthly DTW Cost analysis, report preparation and implementing cost control measures. Accurate Provision / accrual submission to finance at Month end.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of the network of logistics service providers, 3PLs, carriers and vendors, through KPIs and periodic performance evaluations/reviews, with the end objective of driving improvements in performance.

Process Improvements & DTW Projects:
  • Design or implement supply chains policies that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
  • Responsible and accountable for other business requirements including but not limited to-
  • Alignment of INS LOG Process as per ROA Process and Guidelines
  • Review of all Vendor SOP and Alignment with LOG Guidelines
  • Work as User for SAP Related Issues- ID Creation, UAT, Training to stakeholders, New
  • Vendor Set-ups; ensuring Timely Go Live for newly On boarded Vendors etc.
  • Other Task assigned by Management on Time to Time basis
  • Connect with SCM teams of other business divisions to understand and update the knowledge of changes/trends/vendors
  • Accountable for delivering the assigned Total Cost Out (TCO) target per year.

Cross Functional Collaboration:
  • Lead discussions with internal Planning team, Customer Service team, Sales team and other functions to effectively resolve logistics issues and optimize logistics costs at agreed service levels.

Budget Management:
  • Prepare budget planning cycle and manage its utilization within assigned region
  • Manage DTW spend including monthly reporting & ensure compliance of all DTW activities
  • Manage Inbound Logistics costs as per budget and liaise with stakeholders to support business goals and strategy.

MIS Reports:
  • Responsible & Accountable for maintaining the accuracy of the data- DSR, Billing, Inbound cost, other MIS etc.
  • Overseeing and monitoring the Data Quality process periodically
  • Ensuring reliable level of data quality.

Audits & Compliance:
  • Cooperate with India and Global EHSS teams to conduct EHSS, SHEM audits and drive compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, related to customs, Tax and other supply chain processes
  • Cooperate with Trade Compliance Leader to conduct compliance audit & event along with regional compliance guideline & strategy.

Policy and Procedures:
  • Develop, Manage and Implement Policy and Procedures in assigned facilities in order to ensure service level and delivery of logistics target by vendor & SC Logistics team are met.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from an accredited university in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management or Logistics.

Experience
  • Min. 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 in Logistics or Supply Chain management with experience in Custom Clearance, Warehousing, Land Transportation.
  • Experience and interacts with BUs, Supply Chain, Risk, Finance and Legal
  • Good exposure and adaption in working in different organizations with different systems & policies.
  • Strong Business Acumen, Analytical experiences and costing.
  • Strong ERP working knowledge, Trouble shooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and tactical planning skills.
  • Managing Conflicts: Dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation, using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflicts between two or more peoples.
  • Possess Good and Sound knowledge of SAP-ERP system and MS office system.
  • Possess industry awareness in EXIM and warehousing as well as strategic & market awareness.
