JOB OVERVIEW

Function Overview

GIC Sales Strategy & Intelligence team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities - Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customers pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management, eCommerce and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Purpose of the role

Role will be responsible for supporting the business teams across NAR & International markets. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and process expertise with experience in leveraging data to influence decision making. Proficiency in customer databases, advanced BI tools (GCP, SQL, Tableau, Advanced Excel), and PowerPoint are required.



This team member will independently build a seamless rapport with overseas points of contact, address and initiate business requests, and develop solutions through sophisticated reporting, tool building, drawing insights & data analysis and deliver compelling story through presentation/visuals. Deliverables will include actionable insights/recommendations that demonstrate strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of the General Mills business.



The role also involves capabilities development, partnering on strategic projects & conducting competitive intelligence analysis either independently or in collaboration with cross functional team members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

65% of Time Capabilities Development & Data Analysis

Translate data into actionable insights by identifying meaningful customer indicators and trends to deliver stakeholder ready business recommendations Design and deliver high impact reports, analytical tools and customized OU/Customer focused business analytical solutions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy eliminating duplication Leverage Panel, POS and Syndicated data to uncover sales trends tied to the strategic initiatives and build insights Apply a data driven, analytical approach to all initiatives, fostering informed decision making across teams Proactively identify business performance opportunities leveraging various data sources to enhance value through innovative thought leadership, strategic solutions and process improvements

Demonstrate effective stakeholder management to deliver outputs to the customer in a storytelling format (What, So What & Now What) Active and accelerated value creation - Identify business opportunities to find high impact business value, influence (multiple) stakeholders to see the value and effectively get a buy-in Clarity in thought and communication of project outcomes, process/project outline, risk management, planning, implementation, iterations and measures of success

Ensure TAT is upheld via awareness on process requirements, meeting benchmark time estimates and through articulate expectation settings with the stakeholder. Guarantee data quality and accuracy through thorough comprehension of requests, accurate application of tools/platforms with an eye for detail and a robust data & logic check Mentoring & Training new hires to excel in their roles and perform as per the expectations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ExperienceMin. years of related experience required: 3-4 years of relevant Business Reporting, Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG (or related) industry, Data Modelling preferred Preferred years of related experience: 5-6 years of Business Reporting, Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG/FMCG industry on Trade, eCommerce, Revenue Management Skills

Education

-Full time graduation from an accredited university FMCG/CPG Experience: US & International market knowledge in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Management. Minimum years of related experience required: 3-6 years of relevant Business Reporting, Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG (or related) industry, Data Modelling preferred history of collaboration with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters in Statistics, Business Analytics, Retail Preferred Major Area of Study: Business Management, Retail, Statistics Leads Innovation: Tech & Data Savvy Proactive and the ability to handle ambiguous situations in a calm, composed manner
