Job Title: Analyst II, Business Control Function SOX Tester

Department Title: Finance

The Business Control Function Sr. Specialist, SOX Tester for BMS will be a highly collaborative member of the Finance business team. This exceptional team member will support BMS\xe2\x80\x99s business controls activities in BMS\xe2\x80\x99s Hyderabad CoE, and demonstrate the following attributes:

Exceptional expertise in financial and operational controls

Deep understanding of the business landscape, market trends, and industry dynamics

Outstanding ability to forge strong partnerships across the organization to provide insights and guidance to cross-functional teams

Open communication and cooperation to ensure BCF activities are executed seamlessly

Successful candidates will possess excellent leadership skills, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver exceptional results.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required.

The position will be based in the BMS\xe2\x80\x99s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person).

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

Business control activities

Performs SOX controls testing, providing timely, effective, and prompt SOX testing results

Identifies and assesses financial, operational, and compliance risks to accuracy of financial reporting

Evaluates design and operating effectiveness of key controls related to financial reporting

Maintains accurate and well-organized documentation of testing procedures, results, and supporting evidence

Delivers regular reports on SOX testing status to the Associate Director, BCF Hyderabad Lead, for consumption by BCF Executive Director, AD of SOX Methodology & Program Governance, and Leadership team

Assists in the development of internal control enhancements, both proactively and in response to internal control deficiencies identified.

Actively influences the identification of continuous improvement opportunities in the SOX testing processes

Relationship management and teaming

Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy

Risk management

Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role in designing and executing response or contingency plans

List of minimum requirements

Degree/Certification/Licensure

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or CA / CPA preferred.

Experience \xe2\x80\x93 Responsibility and minimum number of years

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience

Compliance and controls experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred

Public accounting experience preferred

Fluency in written and spoken English
