Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to

API testing

or basic automation (e.g., Selenium) is a plus. Basic understanding of

insurance regulations

and

compliance testing

. ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science

, or a related field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

2 to 5 years

of manual testing experience, preferably in

insurance or financial services

. Experience testing

policy administration systems

such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Life/Asia, or similar platforms (hands-on experience with any is a plus). Understanding of

insurance policy workflows

, such as issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements. Basic knowledge of

SQL

for database validation. Familiarity with

test case management and defect tracking tools

. Good understanding of

SDLC

and

STLC

processes. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and analyse

business requirements and functional specifications

related to insurance policy administration. Create, maintain, and execute

manual test cases

for various policy-related processes including

new business, policy changes, renewals, cancellations

, and

claims

. Validate

policy rules, rating logic, and premium calculations

through thorough testing. Perform

functional, integration, regression

, and

user acceptance testing (UAT)

support. Log, track, and retest defects using tools like

JIRA, HP ALM, or Bugzilla

. Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure complete test coverage. Document test results, maintain test evidence, and support the QA reporting process. Participate in

Agile or Waterfall development cycles

, as applicable. Assist in preparing test data and configuring test environments.
