Senior Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Analytics Solutions, Marsh Advisory What can you expect?

• The Senior Specialist will work within the Analytics Solutions team of Marsh Advisory, reporting to the Lead Specialist of the team.
• Take on responsibility for delivering client specific analytics solutions under direct supervision in support of risk finance decisions with the goal of positioning Marsh ahead of its competitors in this area.
• Perform and develop a wide variety of financial and statistical analysis to help Marsh\xe2\x80\x99s clients quantify the risks they face and make decisions on how best to protect themselves against those risks.

We will count on you to:

• Assist in the development of new, market-leading analytics-based tools to assess and mitigate risk under moderate supervision
• Analyze complex models in order to assess risk and viability of risk mitigation solutions
• Examine client issues further for concerns that may not be clear and identifies opportunities to offer solutions
• Identify opportunities for new and existing business with small clients
• Apply functional understanding of product and risk assessment and possible outcomes through scenario testing

• Contribute to the delivery of analytics-based tools to help internal and external clients quantify and mitigate risks

What you need to have:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in P&C Actuarial experience
• A degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Actuarial/Computer Science/Engineering
• Completed at least 2 Actuarial exams (according to new curriculum)
• Preferable papers as per old curriculum (CT3, CT4, CT6)
• Preferable papers as per new curriculum (CS1, CS2)
• Detailed knowledge of actuarial pricing/reserving techniques
• Detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including VBA) and PowerPoint
• Excellent programming language skills on Python or R with end to end designing and development experience
• Excellent data visualization and report-making skills
• Proficient in GLM and other machine-learning techniques such as regression & classification using decision trees, random forest, XGBoost, etc.
• Superior analytical, mathematical and statistical modelling
• Ability to develop strong client oriented solutions

• A commercial sense to apply proportionality to the depth of analytics used versus desired output
• P&C Actuarial experience with a Pricing/Reserving background
• Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytics techniques, process and output
• Knowledge of natural language processing or web scrapping techniques to extract data
• Basic understanding on use of APIs through Python/R
• Basic understanding on one popular python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)
