Role purpose


Purpose of the role is to do data analysis, billing assurance & bill run confirmation activities and to support internal & external audits within the Billing Governance & Strategic Projects team. The role requires basic knowledge of billing operational processes, order management and finance systems (Kenan, Siebel, SAP) in order to highlight the mismatches between upstream and downstream systems and get them fixed, as well as to have logical mindset to always look out for improvement items and bring effectiveness via automation/process improvements. The role also requires to work in close cooperation with stakeholders like Finance, IT, Sales, Customer Relationship Manager as well as Billing internal teams.



Key accountabilities


  • Should be able Reconcile, validation and analyse input from the upstream systems into the Billing and other systems.
  • By request analyse and provide proposals for resolution of identified orders which stuck in the upstream OM systems.
  • Monitor and support Interfaces between the upstream system and the Billing System.
  • Regular monitoring of KPIs, Dashboards, and timely action on variances/gaps if any.
  • Support on Internal audit, ISO audit and process audit and end-to-end closure of non-conformities reported
  • Validation of CDRs from Switch Mediation & Billing system to ensure complete and accurate rating before the bill run. Comprehensive CDRs reconciliation at switch & mediation level for all 13 countries and 3rd party suppliers and report deviations to concerned teams
  • Support daily, weekly and monthly audit of customer orders executed in the Order entry system with the Billing System to ensure the accurate Billing & Invoice generation. In addition, provide go ahead for Weekly and Monthly bill run cycles.
  • Support the day-to-day operations to ensure that the team meets its quality, productivity and turnaround time SLA objectives.
  • Prepare reports and graphs as and when required..
  • Should come up with innovative ideas for effort reduction and process improvements.

Role specific requirements


Skills & Experience

  • 1-4 years of experience in Telecom billing operations, process improvements and Telecom BSS systems like Siebel, Kenan, Interconnect, etc.
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Tools like Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Hands on experience in Data Analysis
  • Experience of working and handling Telecom Billing processes like Supplier Invoice Reconciliation, Tariff Management, Customer Invoicing, Suspense Analysis, Quality & Revenue Assurance
  • Should be able to work on excel/advance excel for generating internal reports, to manage productivity and to perform analysis for stakeholder groups

Qualifications

  • Graduates/Post Graduates/BE/BTECH/MCA
  • University degree preferably in business, IT, engineering disciplines. Post Graduate is desired as well.
  • Good commercial background
  • Fluent in English (verbal and in written) is necessary.
