It all started with a simple idea in 2011: Let's build a development consultancy firm where the only priority is to help those in need. Profit, image and politics are all secondary.

Today, MzN International operates as a social enterprise, helping NGOs and international organisations in 50 + countries around the world do good - better - and making business operations, models and strategies more sustainable. We are guided by a strict ethical code and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking.


A social enterprise We operate as a financially sustainable enterprise. All the work we do generates a surplus with which we finance investments in continuous improvement and research.


Our ethical code We are committed to strict ethical guidelines, including the Red Cross Code of Conduct and other international standards. We refuse to work with organisations that undermine these standards and values.


Challenging conventional thinking We think outside the box, continue to challenge assumptions and invest in research and innovation. In 2014, we worked with the University of Bristol to develop a new concept of beneficiary-led aid. In 2015, we worked on the co-developed Humanitarian Impact Bonds to help close the gap in funding for humanitarian assistance worldwide.


A bit dfferent Because we are a professional services and development consultancy firm operating as a social enterprise, we do things a bit differently. Instead of a lengthy set of rules for our employees, we promote autonomy and self-responsibility. This keeps internal red tape to a minimum. In fact, our employee guidelines fit on just one page.


We operate digitally We work digitally. Our digital infrastructure allows us to work flexibly, asynchronously and to hire the best, most diversified talent, regardless of where they are located.


100% carbon negative Like every year, in 2023, we calculated our carbon footprint and are planting trees through The Generation Forest cooperative to double offset our carbon emissions.

Analyst (Funding and Income)

Remuneration:

?14-?17 Lakh INR annually during 3-month probation ?17- ?20 Lakh INR annually for the following 12 months upon successful completion Annual reviews may lead to increases of up to 20%, with a salary cap of ?30 Lakh INR (in today's value, adjusted for inflation) EUR200 (approx. ?17,250) bonus per AI agent completed within the agreed timeline (up to 10 per annum)

About Us

At MzN International and Human Planet, we help organisations in the development, humanitarian, and climate sectors to deliver better, faster, and more sustainably. Our work supports NGOs, UN agencies, and social enterprises around the world.


We are office-free and fully remote, with team members across continents and clients in Africa, South Asia, South America, Europe, and North America. We believe in using technology to amplify impact, and AI is at the core of our next phase of growth.


We are now building a dedicated engineering team to develop AI agents that improve how our clients and internal teams operate - from research and grant writing to process automation.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and committed AI Engineer to develop, deploy, and maintain a suite of AI agents. These agents will serve two primary purposes:

Client-facing tools that support research, writing, and operational efficiency for NGOs and global institutions Internal automation agents that streamline workflows, data management, and knowledge handling

Work is organised in focused sprints, typically lasting 2-6 weeks depending on complexity. You will be responsible for delivering fully functioning agents in line with project goals and timelines, working closely with both technical and non-technical colleagues.


This is a high-intensity role, ideal for candidates who are comfortable working independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to apply AI to solve meaningful, global challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain AI agents using LLMs and modern automation frameworks Deliver usable tools on time and to specification in 2-6 week sprint cycles Ensure strict data security according to GDPR Develop secure, maintainable integrations with platforms such as Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, and HubSpot Document development and design process for continuous integration and refinement Manage the full lifecycle of agent development: prototyping, testing, deployment, refinement Ensure data protection, usability, transparency, and ethical AI practices are embedded in your work Collaborate remotely with a diverse and globally distributed team Before starting to work on the tech, fully understand the context, purpose and workflow to ensure the tech is purposeful and practical

Required Skills

Proven experience designing AI agents. Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, HuggingFace, or OpenAI APIs (technical test will be performed during the application process) Experience with REST APIs, containerisation (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Google Business Suite) Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools such as N8n or Zapier (technical test will be performed during the application process) Strong understanding of data structures, model performance monitoring, and version control Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable Skills

Previous experience developing AI solutions for NGOs, international organisations, or social enterprises Knowledge of the development, humanitarian, or climate finance sectors Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and low-resource language processing A strong interest in responsible AI and inclusive technology solutions

A brief note about our work culture

You will join an internationally distributed team, working 100% online in an agile methodology. Working in sprints, you will be a trusted and valued team member in charge of client projects. There is no fixed hierarchy, and you will sometimes find yourself the lead and other times a team member on work. Teams are self-forming, so you can heavily influence how far you like to go in our career.


Whilst working with an ever-increasing degree of autonomy after your onboarding phase, you can rely on project leaders and consultants across the globe for help, support and advice.


MzN is a small, agile organisation. We trust each other and treat each other with respect. We work at peak productivity, with intense sprints and lower demand times, operating in a customised online environment that purposely minimises internal meetings, administrative tasks or regulation.
