The TEAM - Financial Market Ops - Risk Data Quality (RDQ)
FMO RDQ Team is responsible for the management, investigation and remediation of Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) data for the SCB Group. Activities include data reconciliation, data profiling, generation and distribution of risk data quality (dq) exception reports, monitoring of risk data quality metrics and preparation of governance packs.
The RDQ team is also actively involved in major projects involving system changes with respect to the infrastructure upgrade/migration of CCR related systems, including development of BRD, UAT pack, and User testing. The team actively manages all issues with respect to the generation of data risk metrics through a process of data validation, breaks/gaps identification, investigation, issue documentation/risk reporting, issue prioritization, testing, and to closure communications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with System support Teams to ensure required files/reports are generated for DQ checks and controls.
Use of reconciliation tool(s) and/or EUCs to generate daily DQ data reconciliation/exception reports and ensure data discrepancies are resolved within agreed service level agreement (SLA).
Understand and be able to explain reasons for data breaks and follow-up with stakeholders till resolution.
Understand how the data are used and how do they impact Counterparty Credit Risk
Respond swiftly to stakeholder queries on CCR data, including Customer data, Limits, Trade, Agreements, Agreements, Securities, Market Data etc.
Maintenance of static and market data tables and involve with periodic review of static and mapping tables with stakeholders.
Participate in testing of system functions/reports fixes, as well as projects, including giving requirements and user-testing
Other necessary support required by the Team, including BCP testing, weekend User Verification Testing (UVT)
Pro-actively improve internal DQ processes and controls through automations, and/or simplifications of processes
Familiar with concept of Data completeness, data controls, data validations, data profiling and/or BCBS 239 principles

Identify key data issues, and/or data control gaps and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
Competencies:
Experience in Financial Market Operations, Data management, or Middle office role
Experience in data management/data profiling
Familiar with Financial market products including Derivatives
Familiar with Bloomberg and Securities data
Familiar with project management tools such as Tableau, Jira, Confluence, etc

ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Experienced in Operations/Back Office/Middle Office/ Data Management role and hands-on experience in handling two or more areas below;
FM Trade/Limits/Fixed income/Bloomberg data
DQ controls including data reconciliation, data profiling, data mining, and dashboarding
Knowledge in Financial Market products, including Derivatives
End User Computing (EUC) development and coding skills including MS Access, VBA, Python, Excel, SQL, Powerpoint, machine learning, etc
Understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk fundamentals and principles
Communication skills
