The ReEntry Program is a 15-week fellowship program, beginning March 20, 2023 and ending June 30, 2023, with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JP Morgan Chase at the end of the program. The program offers a reintroduction to corporate life for those returning to the workplace after an extended career break for two or more years. The fellowship placements will be based on both business needs and candidate skill set and interest areas within our Corporate Investment Banking, Asset Wealth Management & Commercial Banking Operations business.

The role is within the Risk Strategy & Execution vertical of Model Risk Management group which is tasked with coordination, planning, and execution of regulatory, control, audit, technology and corporate risk initiatives and deliverables.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

  • Managing and tracking model risk governance related projects / deliverables
  • Reporting and performing analytics in model risk metrics
  • Creating ad-hoc business tools to analyze data and quickly develop reporting packages
  • Extracting information from proprietary python-based tools for data analysis
  • Monitoring key metrics, developing projections and identifying data quality issues
  • Performing variance analysis to understand the key drivers of threshold breaches in metrics, explaining material changes from prior periods
  • Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver results to stakeholders and senior management
  • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or a subject of a technical nature
  • 2 years of work experience, preferably in Financial Reporting or Data Analytics background
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Excel VBA is must have
  • Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets required
  • Knowledge of Python, Tableau/Qlik sense useful but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups to understand issue drivers and business requirements while collaborating with partners to build consensus and execute agreed plans
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
