About the role

As an Analyst, your role would be to develop a deep understanding of the business and technology stack of your tribe. Your skills in understanding and analysing business problems, ability to refine them in the form of system requirements will be used to increase the quality and efficiency of solutions being built by your squad. Through your good understanding of underlying technology that supports the business outcomes, and working as a team player, you would play a key role in ensuring optimum the end-to-end customer experience. Over a short period of time, you would build your expertise and work as \xe2\x80\x98person to go to\xe2\x80\x99 for existing and new features analysis.

This role could work across multiple squads (including vendor-based squads) across run, fixed and change activities.

What will your day look like

This role is accountable for:

• Performing discovery analysis such as value proposition, hypothesis, high level requirements/epics/user stories, technical feasibility and high level solution design
• Interacting with the squad to ensure there is clarity of information and alignment of understanding to develop the feature
• Engaging various stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Simplifying and packaging information through Agile Analysis and visualisation techniques (e.g. story map, process map, journey map, personas, empathy map, flow chart, lean canvas
• Strong knowledge of technical analysis (e.g. system integration diagram, sequence diagram, APIs, field mapping, data flow diagram)
• Measuring and reporting metrics on feature that was recently released, against the value hypothesis defined during discovery
• Contributing to uplifting the capability of the Analyst Chapter

What will you bring?

Business Analysis skills:
Proven experience working as business/system analyst and translating business requirements into meaningful solutions by understanding needs, feasibility and impact.
Strong elicitation / requirements gathering, estimation, facilitation and impact assessment skills \xe2\x80\x93 with equal focus on business process and technology impacts.
Ability to understand/analyse the customer journey and process mapping for existing and new features in the solutions owned by the squad.
Excellent problem solving skills and system inventive thinking for business problems
Ability to lead and complete the desirability, feasibility and viability assessments for new features keeping \xe2\x80\x98systemic\xe2\x80\x99 thinking in the focus
Strong articulation skills and able to break down and elaborate one-line problem statements into Features, Epics, User Stories, Tasks etc.

System Analysis skills:

• Experience in understanding technology system modelling, system design, application performance needs and technology infrastructure.
• Ability to understand our technology stack, analyse technical issues, production logs, review scripts and implemented business logics or their flaws, if any.
• Ability to analyse and propose interface designs, API interactions, data mapping, data modelling, request \xe2\x80\x93 response and different error conditions
• Ability to understand and assist in solution assessment, visual modelling and user interface design
• High confidence in analysing and estimating the technology change impact while working closely with other technology roles such as solution architects, engineers, testers, security architects, Release Leads etc.

Agility and Analysis Toolkit:

• Strong agile fundamentals and past experience working in a pure agile / scaled agile delivery environment.
• Expertise in Jira and Confluence to create epics, breakdown and write detailed user stories with all details \xe2\x80\x93 including business need and use case scenarios technical designs, error scenarios, request responses, data mappings, UI designs and backend information etc.
• A good handle on production monitoring tools - for example Splunk, and able to analyse production issues as and when they are raised
• Ability to support squad(s) in successfully delivering agile releases through to production environments by taking accountability for the system stability, quality and feature completeness.

Interpersonal skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, ability to take a lead in workshops and drive meaningful outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to condense complex ideas and information into a language appropriate for the audience;
• Ability to identify stakeholders within and outside the tribe to connect, relate, build and maintain strong relationships for great business outcomes
• high-level negotiation, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• A \xe2\x80\x98growth mindset\xe2\x80\x99 and ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Strong willingness to work on challenging projects, keep \xe2\x80\x98team player\xe2\x80\x99 hat on, and deliver against firm timelines
