Job Description

:

A member of the Relationship Check Team within our Independence Group who performs National Conflict Checks (NCC) for the United States.

• Conflict Check \xe2\x80\x93 A request from a Grant Thornton office (we have about 50 domestic offices and are located in approximately 150 different countries) that wants to bring in a new client or new business to an existing client.

A \xe2\x80\x9ccheck\xe2\x80\x9d must be performed for every company name in the corporate family for the potential client. As a Data Researcher (DR) for the US RCS team, you will \xe2\x80\x9ccheck\xe2\x80\x9d for entries in a variety of databases where our client and business relationships are housed.

Domestic Checks \xe2\x80\x93 Requests from any US based Grant Thornton office.

International Relationship Checks (IRC) \xe2\x80\x93 Requests from any international Grant Thornton firm from another country.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Perform DR tasks using NCC tool application based on deadlines, written and verbal instructions including processes in place

\xc2\xb7 Access the Relationship Checking System (RCS) which is a web-based application

\xc2\xb7 Access the Global Relationship System (GRS) which is a global web-based application

\xc2\xb7 Perform varies research via internet based on search needs

\xc2\xb7 Respond to inquiries and maintain a high level of customer service to internal customers

\xc2\xb7 Comprehend and act upon responses received from member firms in a timely manner

\xc2\xb7 Participate in meetings and discussions on RCS/NCC performance, processes, and improvement

\xc2\xb7 Communicate with all levels of management at Grant Thornton, as well as contacts from member firms around the globe

\xc2\xb7 Be cross-trained to assist with family tree research (as needed) or other independence functions at the SSC

Skills:

Bachelor/Post Graduation degree along with \xe2\x80\x93

\xc2\xb7 Possess good internet research skills.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Must be able to communicate with contacts from around the globe and multi-task various projects.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to follow detailed written instructions.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work under short deadlines and prioritize workload.

\xc2\xb7 Dedication to meet deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work off-hours, if needed including some holidays

\xc2\xb7 Computer proficient. Must have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
