Job SummaryBackend development is a role that is a hands-on developer role focusing on back-end development including component building, framework building and eventually contribute to project delivery.You will be working alongside and managing other Engineers and Developers working on different layers of the Applications. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications for banking services and products.Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability while ensuring security compliance.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to testing and deployment.Respond to service disruptions/incidents as part of our internal incident procedures.Ensure accurate and timely completion of all projects and requests.Adaptive, flexible and have a focus on innovation.Skills and Experience2-7 years of experience in development domain particularly java tech stackStrong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Web Services, XMLShould have good understanding of DevOps tools and unit test framework.Experience in migrating applications to CI/CD pipeline using tools like GIT/BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Ansible, RundeckWell-versed with Agile methodology and global delivery model.Understanding of Object Orient Programming and Functional Programming paradigm.Understanding on HTTP and RESTFul API'sGood to have experience in moving application to AWS cloud.Good to have hands-on experience in Python, Ansible, Shell scripts and tools like ELK Working experience in cloud computing, PaaS and IaaS, Docker, and ContainerizationExcellent communication skills.QualificationsB.E / B.TECH / MCAAbout Standard CharteredWe're an international bank, nimble enough to act, big enough for impact.
