Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Anaesthetist / Intensivist to oversee anaesthesia during surgeries and provide critical care support in the ICU. The candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, anaesthesia planning, intraoperative management, and ICU patient care, working closely with surgeons and the critical care team.

Key Responsibilities:

Anaesthetist:

Pre-operative evaluation and risk assessment of patients Administer appropriate anaesthesia (general/regional/local) during surgeries Monitor vital signs and manage pain and consciousness levels during procedures Handle emergencies during surgery, including airway or cardiac complications Ensure post-operative pain management and recovery monitoring

Intensivist:

Lead management of critically ill patients in ICU (ventilatory support, organ support) Perform bedside procedures (intubation, central lines, arterial lines, etc.) Work closely with multidisciplinary teams for patient care decisions Manage emergency and code blue situations in ICU and ER Guide weaning from ventilator and end-of-life care protocols if needed

Qualifications & Skills:

MBBS + MD / DNB / DA in Anaesthesia / Critical Care Fellowship in Critical Care (optional but preferred) Valid Medical Council Registration Experience of 2-7 years in relevant field Strong clinical decision-making and patient communication skills Ability to work in wide variety of situations and emergencies
