Job Description

An MD Anaesthesiologist is responsible for administering anaesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after surgery. The role includes pre-operative assessment, intra-operative monitoring, post-operative pain management, and handling critical/emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre-anaesthetic check-ups (PAC) including history, physical examination, and risk assessment.
Develop safe anaesthesia plans based on patient condition and type of surgery.
Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural, and local anaesthesia.
Monitor and manage airway, ventilation, hemodynamics, fluid status, and vital signs throughout surgery.
Handle emergencies such as cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, difficult airway, and trauma.
Provide post-operative care including pain management and monitoring recovery from anaesthesia.
Operate and maintain anaesthesia equipment, ventilators, and monitoring devices.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and ICU teams for integrated patient care.
Maintain detailed documentation of anaesthesia procedures and medications.
Participate in on-call duties, ICU rounds, and emergency response teams.
Requirements
MBBS from a recognized medical college/university.
Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship (CRI).
Valid Medical Registration (State Medical Council / National Medical Commission).
Qualification through NEET-PG (or equivalent) for postgraduate admission.
MD in Anaesthesiology (3-year postgraduate degree).
