Job Description

:

Pre-Operative Preparation:

Arrange and sterilize all surgical instruments and equipment.

Ensure the operating room is clean, sterile, and well-organized.

Check, set up, connect, and adjust surgical equipment.

Position the patient for surgery.

During the Operation:

Work collaboratively with surgeons and nurses to anticipate and fulfill their needs.

Pass surgical instruments, suction fluids, and assist with maintaining a clean surgical site.

Operate machinery and instruments as directed.

Monitor patient vital signs throughout the procedure.

Maintain a sterile field during the surgery.

Post-Operative Duties:

Safely transfer the patient to the recovery room.

Clean, disinfect, and manage the disposal of biohazard materials from the operating room.

Restock all necessary surgical supplies and instruments for future use.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

Perform regular maintenance checks on medical equipment.

Report any faulty equipment for repair or replacement.

Manage and maintain the inventory of surgical instruments and supplies.
