Job Description

Job Requirements

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our complex mixed-signal semiconductor products. You will work closely with analog and digital design teams to develop and execute comprehensive verification plans, ensuring our chips are robust and bug-free before they go to tape-out.

This is a critical position that requires a strong blend of analog circuit knowledge, digital verification methodologies, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Verification Planning and Execution:

Develop detailed AMS verification plans based on design specifications. Create and maintain test benches and test cases for both block-level and top-level mixed-signal designs.

Behavioral Modeling:

Develop accurate and efficient behavioral models for analog and mixed-signal blocks using languages like

Verilog-AMS

,

SystemVerilog Real Number Modeling (RNM)

, and/or

wreal

.

Simulation & Debugging:

Perform mixed-signal simulations using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Xcelium, Synopsys VCS-AMS) to validate design functionality and performance. Debug complex issues that arise from the interaction between analog and digital components.

Methodology Development:

Drive the development and improvement of our AMS verification methodologies and flows. Identify and implement new techniques to increase verification efficiency and coverage.

Collaboration:

Work in a highly collaborative environment with analog designers, digital designers, and firmware teams to understand design requirements, address verification concerns, and ensure seamless integration.

Automation & Scripting:

Use scripting languages such as

Python

,

Perl

, or

TCL

to automate test flows, manage regressions, and analyze simulation results.

Documentation:

Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of verification plans, environments, and results.

Post-Silicon Support:

Assist with post-silicon validation and debug as needed, helping to reproduce and resolve issues found on the actual hardware.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. [Number] years of hands-on experience in Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) verification. Strong understanding of analog circuit design concepts (e.g., PLLs, ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, SERDES). Expertise in

Verilog-AMS

and/or

SystemVerilog Real Number Modeling (RNM)

. Proficiency with at least one industry-standard mixed-signal simulation tool (e.g., Cadence

Xcelium

, Mentor

Symphony

, Synopsys

VCS-AMS

). Solid experience with digital verification methodologies, including

UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)

. Experience with scripting languages (

Python, Perl, TCL

) for automation. Ability to read and understand analog schematics and digital RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

Cadence Virtuoso

for schematic capture and analog simulation. Familiarity with formal verification, linting, or CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) tools. Experience in a specific domain such as automotive, high-speed interfaces (

PCIe, USB, Ethernet

), or power management. * Knowledge of an analog behavioral modeling language such as

Verilog-A

.
