What you\'ll be doing The Benefits & Retirement Administration Specialist is responsible for enabling regional benefits and retirement operations, working closely with the Benefits & Retirement Lead to execute on the benefits and rewards strategies set by the Total Rewards COE and the Business. They promote, facilitate, and manage the administration of benefits and retirement for employees in close partnership with Hitachi\'s benefit and retirement partners. The Specialist also collaborates with the Total Rewards COE to ensure that policies are documented and updated, and to resolve any escalated inquiries. What you bring to the team We\'re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for includes: Supports the implementation of a regional Benefits and Retirement strategy, working with the Total Rewards COE and BU HR Collaborates with the Total Rewards COE to identify any changes and update policies, guidelines and support materials. Works with third-party partners, providing benefits and retirement services to employees/retirees, and manages open enrollment processes. Manages day to day relationships with benefit and retirement partners and helps facilitate the resolution of support and service issues. Delivers strategic benefits and retirement plan communications, partnering with regional and local partners as applicable. Validates employee inputs and choices based on eligibility guidelines and verifies employee choices are correctly updated in proper systems. Partners with Payroll and third-party partners to collect reports and data (e.g., review membership lists and/or invoices for accuracy and advise insurers/vendors of additions or removals) Collects audit data with the third parties and manages compliance risks. Acts as a point of escalation for benefits and retirement inquiries, escalating to Total Rewards COE as needed.
