Assistant/Deputy Manager - Quality

Quality Manager / Head - Quality / Plant Head

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all products, processes, and operations meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Assistant/Deputy Manager - Quality supports the Quality Manager in implementing quality systems, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Quality Assurance & Control

Supervise and perform inspections, tests, and audits of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal SOPs, and customer specifications. Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality checks, testing protocols, and audit results. Ensure compliance with ISO/TS/IFS/BRC/other applicable certifications. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and assist in external and internal audits.

Process Improvement

Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities. Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, etc. Drive continuous improvement through Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen initiatives (if applicable).
4.

Team Leadership

Guide, train, and monitor the performance of quality inspectors and technicians. Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability within the production and operations teams.
5.

Customer & Supplier Interaction

Address customer complaints and coordinate quality investigations. Evaluate supplier quality performance and assist in supplier audits.

Key Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures and industry-specific quality standards. Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, and control plans. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and team management capabilities. Proficiency in MS Office, quality management systems, and ERP tools.

Educational Qualifications:

B. tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per year
