Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Prevention and control from Fire through proactive measures in case of fire breakdown to protect people, property and the environment from the destructive effects of fire .

2. Process Improvement in terms of fire systems and Audits

3. Design, installation, maintenance and/or development of fire detection, fire suppression, fire control and fire related communication systems and equipment

4 Planning & Budgeting for the new systems installation and the maintenance of fire hydrants.

5. Represent in Audits - EMS OHSAS, External Govt. Fire & safety audits

6. Conduct Mock drills & provide regular to employees on Fire extinguishers, Fire Hydrant systems, Fire Detection System & fire prevention

7. Liaison with BMC / fire brigade

8. Others Activities:-

Develop Safety culture in plant Ensure Zero Accidents Fire evacuation model Maintains Fire Fighting Equipment and other specialized vehicles; Operates Fire Pump and Mutual Aid between neighbor companies Participates in Fire prevention inspections Participates in Fire drill competitions Documentation and record Maintenance of all fire incident, accident report, Near Miss report. Maintain Fire Safety Policies Internal & External area Fire Safety and pre-emptive action taken to reduce Fire risk

Education Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering/Degree in any subject with relevant certification from a recognized Fire Prevention training institute.

5-12 Years

3. Functional knowledge of statutory and Factory compliances and Fire Regulations

Functional Competency

Should possess knowledge of fire fighting systems/equipment, fire norms-IS code, NEPA, OISD, Factories act.

Should possess skills of rescue operations & first aid

Fire incident and investigation knowledge

Posses an aptitude to understand and implement the emerging technical developments in the domain.
